Grains, Poundo Yam And Cassava Flour Production Machines:

  1. Hammer Mill: The hammer mill is used for grinding grains by using high speed rotating hammers to hit and disintegrate the grains or dried sliced yam and cassava.

    Description: The mill is mainly made up of several hammers that rotate at very high speed (1,800rpm) within a screen housing with the aid of 15 or 20 HP electric motor depending on the designed capacity.   4. ) Sliced yam and Cassava dryer: The machine dries sliced or pelleted yam and cassava and other tubers to appropriate moisture levels.

    Description: The dryer uses steam raised in a boiler as heat energy to dry the sliced or pelleted materials. The steam is transferred through pipe into the rotary drying chamber powered by electric motor. The steam is channelled into the steam jacket through a central pipe and distributed to the steam pipes which act as heat exchangers. The whole drum is insulated with rockwool to minimise heat loss. Drying is accomplished in two passes with a tempering period between the passes.
